Our story · London · 2016

A living room.
A prayer.
A movement.

From a small London gathering to a global Christian prayer and discipleship community.

Rekindle ON grew through prayer, discipleship, gatherings and relationships that kept moving beyond a single room, event or country.

01

The first room

Rekindle On was founded in 2016, when a small group of women gathered in a living room in London with a simple desire: to pray together and encourage one another in their faith.

That first gathering centred around watching War Room, a film about the power of prayer. What began as an evening of fellowship and prayer became the catalyst for something much greater.

From that moment, a vision began to take shape — to raise women of prayer and strengthen marriages and families through intentional intercession.

In the same year, Rekindle On launched its annual 30 Days of Prayer and Fasting for Husbands and Future Husbands, held every April.

Ten years later, this initiative continues to bring together women from across the UK and around the world to pray intentionally for marriages, future marriages and families.

From one room to many places

More than a moment.A growing movement.

Over the years, that original living-room gathering has grown beyond one event, one programme or one location.

Rekindle community on stage

Today, Rekindle On brings people together across nations through prayer, discipleship and practical programmes.

What the movement is for

Lives transformed through Jesus Christ.

Rekindle On exists to see lives transformed through Jesus Christ.

Our work is rooted in Christian faith and responds to real areas of everyday life — including spiritual wellbeing, healthy relationships, marriage and family life, personal development, health and wellbeing, and social connection.

When individuals are strengthened, families can flourish. When families are strengthened, communities become stronger.

Still being written

We believe lasting transformation often begins with the individual but should never end there.

When people are equipped to live with faith, purpose and confidence, they can become catalysts for positive change in the places where they live, work and serve.

As Rekindle On continues to grow, we are committed to developing accessible, well-governed and impactful programmes that combine our Christian foundation with practical support, education, community and collaboration.

We also recognise that meaningful and sustainable impact is rarely achieved alone. We therefore seek to work alongside churches, professionals, community organisations, businesses, funders and strategic partners who share our commitment to strengthening people, families and communities.

From a living room in 2016 to a community reaching across nations today, our story is still being written.
